What I am learning:
In the summer of 2008, I began working towards my doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Practice at Georgia State University. I plan to use my degree to sharpen my skills as a practitioner, and work towards teaching and supervising future counselors.
Why I love my job:
I enjoy working with children, especially in the capacity of School Counseling. Working at Whitefield has given me the awesome opportunity to work in a Christian environment, and I am very excited about being able to integrate biblical truths into the ministry of school counseling.
Me at home:
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and have been in Georgia for over 16 years. I live in Mableton with my husband, Troy, and my 9-year-old daughter, Lauryn. Lauryn is in the Whitefield Academy Class of ’18. I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Me at church:
My family and I have been members of Faith Christian Center in Smyrna, Georgia for three years. Troy and I are active in the “4 Life” Married Couples Ministry, and Lauryn is active in the Kids World Ministry.
