1. Attend a DISCOVER WHITEFIELD event! Take a tour on a Friday morning and attend a Coffee and an Open House. (See admission calendar for specific dates and times.)
2. Schedule off-site testing as soon as possible (not applicable for students applying to PreK-4).

   Kindergarten - 5th grade JATP (Joint Atlanta Testing Program)

   Families must obtain registration forms from the website or admission packet and schedule appointments individually with a psychologist listed on the form.

   6th - 12th grade SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)

   Families may register on-line at ssat.org. Whitefield will serve as a test-site in November, December, January, and February. All SSAT evaluations will be administered in small classroom settings.

3. Appointments for Observations (PreK-4 through 3rd grade) and Interviews (4th through 12th grade) will be scheduled by the Admission Office after a completed application has been received.
4. Timely letters will be mailed stating which forms are missing from your application file. However, if you apply online, you have the ability to manage your application process via the website.
5. The deadline for applying for admission to Whitefield is Friday, February 13, 2009. Decision letters will be mailed on Friday, April 3, 2009. Replies accepting/declining an offer of admission must be received in the Admission Office by Thursday, April 16, 2008.
6. Students must be 4 by September 1 to apply for PreK-4 and 5 by September 1 to apply for Kindergarten.

Admission Criteria

1. Whitefield Academy was originally established and currently operates as a covenant school. Our definition of a covenant school is one wherein at least one parent/guardian (and preferably both parents/guardians) professes faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
2. Whitefield Academy is a school that services average and above average students (defined as students who have average or above intelligence quotients - IQ’s); students who score at the average range or higher on reputable standardized achievement tests (determined by WA); and students who demonstrate average or above average past academic success.
3. Whitefield Academy requires and expects exemplary deportment from its students. Thus, only students with commendable behavioral records will be considered for admission.

Financial Assistance

Whitefield Academy offers NO scholarships.
Whitefield provides a substantial need-based financial aid program to enrich the student body by making a Whitefield education possible for some families who might otherwise be unable to afford it. The financial aid application process starts afresh each school year in December.

Procedures For Applying For Financial Aid
Financial aid applications are handled through School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in New Jersey. While SSS does not supply funding, it assists families and schools in determining if a family does indeed qualify for financial aid. The Parents’ Financial Statements (PFS) will be available on-line at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss after December 1, 2008. To be considered for financial aid for the 2008-2009 academic school year, the following requirements must be met.

• On-line PFS/applications must be completed and submitted to School and Student Service (SSS) by February 6, 2009.
• A copy of your 2007 tax return including all schedules must be received in the school’s Business Office by February 13, 2009.
• A copy of each wage earner’s final pay stub showing year-to-date earnings for 2008 must be received in the school’s Business Office by February 13, 2009.
• Copies of all 2008 W-2s and/or 2008 tax return including all schedules must be received in the school’s Business Office before February 13, 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter.

In order for us to consider your application for financial assistance, all of the requirements must be met by the deadline dates to give SSS and the Business Office adequate time to process the applications and allocate the available assistance.
