Welcome to the Middle School of Whitefield Academy! The Middle School serves students
in grades six through eight. This stage of life is a time for students to prepare
for things to come like high school, college, and their future as adults. Yet, it’s
also much more than a time of preparation because these students are already people
created in the image of God. They are people who are exciting to be around during
this window of opportunity when they are experiencing rapid growth and development,
learning in much broader areas and deeper ways than ever before, taking further
interest in the people around them, and discovering more about how the Lord has
uniquely gifted each of them. These distinct students are valuable, contributing
members of the student body of Whitefield Academy as well as the body of Christ.
What do these students say that makes the Middle School the great school that it
is? Recently I surveyed them to find out. Their overwhelming response was "the teachers."
That response comes as no surprise as the teachers have a reputation, with students
and parents alike, as people who have a genuine passion for teaching and love for
their students. After their teachers, students say that the extracurricular activities
(athletics, clubs, and fine arts) offered in the Middle School are what make the
school a great place to be.
In addition to outstanding teachers and a strong extracurricular program, the Middle
School is known for the following assets that are hallmarks throughout Whitefield
Academy: a rigorous, high-quality academic program; involved, supportive parents;
and a tradition of leadership that has created and maintained a Christ-centered
foundation in all that is undertaken. With this combination of strengths, set on
a beautiful campus in the Atlanta area, I can think of no better place to work and
have my children attend school.
