Whitefield Academy grandparents will share their personal stories of growing up in the midst of segregation and racism with middle and high school students on Friday, February 26th at 2:00 pm in the Athletic Center. Members of the panel include Reverend Cameron Alexander, grandfather of Adam Alexander (6th); Catherine Robinson, grandmother of Murphy Alexander (11th); and Ruth Brinson, grandmother of Christopher Lovelace (12th). Reverend Alexander is pastor of Antioch Baptist North Church in Atlanta, GA and helped lead the bus boycott that integrated the Bibb County transit system in Macon, GA. The panel is part of Whitefield Academy’s Black History Month celebration and will be moderated by Upper School Teacher Jeff Horner.
