Whitefield’s Varsity Boys’ Tennis team recently faced their toughest competition this year against Walker. Matt McGill came off the court first with 6-3 and 6-4 wins over a strong Walker senior. Eric Zschunke, also faced a senior, but played tenaciously and skillfully to win both his sets. Kyle Childree, currently ranked seventh in the state for Boys 16s, went up against another state ranked player. He won one set and lost another before securing a 7-5 win in a hard-fought third set. Our doubles teams played very well but both lost their first sets 7-6 and then came up short in their second sets. The entire Whitefield team exhibited great sportsmanship in their matches. Way to go, WolfPack!
