The U-10 Smyrna Soccer Lady Chiefs, a soccer team comprised primarily of girls from Whitefield's 4th grade, recently won the Georgia Youth Soccer State Championships in Columbus, GA! The talented team of Whitefield girls entered the tournament undefeated and ranked #1. They represented the western part of the state in the championship tournament.
Playing in 96 degree heat, the battle wasn't easy, as they encountered some stiff competition from the likes of Savannah, Suwannee, and Warner Robbins. However, the Chiefs emerged in the final game...after double overtime......our Georgia State Champions!!! This is the first time a Smyrna U10 team has won the championship in many years.
Way to go Brittany Butler, Macy and Mady Kendrick, Molly Langella, and Dallas Watson. Go Chiefs!
