Congratulations to Rebecca Stueve, Whitefield freshman, who recently qualified to fence epee at the Summer National Fencing Championship this July at the World Congress Center. Rebecca qualified in the Youth 14 Women's Epee and the Under 16 Cadet Women's Epee. She is pictured here with her fencing coach Oswaldo Ortega.
The Summer National Fencing competition is a national tournament sponsored by the U.S.A. Fencing Association, which is a division of the United States Olympic Committee. The purpose of the USOC is to support U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes in achieving sustained competitive excellence and preserve the Olympic ideals, and thereby inspire all Americans.
