Kyle Fowler, class of 2010, recently made his racing debut in the ARCA Racing Series at the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway. Fowler drove the No. 6 Toyota, which was fielded by ESR. Racing against top-notch veterans like Ken Schrader, Kyle held 6th place during much of the race until an electrical problem with his battery sidelined him for a lap.
Kyle recently graduated from Whitefield and has already moved to Concord, N.C., to be near the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events, two NASCAR Nationwide Series races and a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event are among the major events held on this 1.5-mile superspeedway. The Richard Petty Driving Experience and the Jeff Gordon Racing School also use the track extensively throughout the year.
Kyle will be attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte beginning in the fall.
