Jasmine Swift represents Georgia in fast pitch championships

Whitefield graduate, Jasmine Swift (’10) is a member of one of six softball teams representing Georgia this August in the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) 18 – U Fast Pitch National Championships in Hemet, California. Jasmine’s team, West Georgia Bad Company, placed first in a berth qualifier held June 19th at Al Bishop Complex in Marietta to earn their spot in California. Swift went 2 for 3 in the last game, with 2 RBIs in the 6-5 win.

Qualifying for ASA National Championships begins at the local level with league championships, state championships and eventually national qualifiers. The ASA annually registers over 83,000 youth girls' fast pitch softball teams comprising over 1.2 million girls.

Jasmine(pictured top row, second from right) played softball at Whitefield for four years under coaches Jessica Christ, Haley Brown, Megan Magee and community coach Ryan Byers.
