Whitefield Academy began in the hearts, minds, and prayers of Christian mothers and fathers who believed that God would lead them in their quest to find a school that would not
only challenge their children with rigorous academics, but inspire them spiritually. These parents desired a school in which faculty and staff members live out their personal
faith and see themselves not only as teachers, but role-models to each student.
Today, Whitefield remains true to its founding vision. Our most compelling achievement to date is not the acquired land, new buildings, regional and state athletic championships,
or award-winning arts program, but the men and women who have graduated from Whitefield Academy, determined to live their life “with a passion for learning, for others ahead of
self, and for the living and active Jesus.” It is these men and women, currently serving God as college and graduate students, businessmen, attorneys, social workers, worship
leaders, health care providers, and more, who mark Whitefield as a school among schools.
Whitefield is committed to helping students understand their faith and providing opportunities to fellowship with other believers. In today’s culture, students are regularly confronted
with falsehoods, half-truths, and compromise. We are not here to provide neat and easy spiritual answers, but to teach students to think critically and passionately pursue Jesus
Christ and His truth. Our desire is not only to walk beside students when they have great faith, but also when they wrestle to comprehend and apply His truth in a challenging
and ever-changing society.
