Welcome to the Upper School at Whitefield Academy! My name is Susan Banke, and I
am privileged to serve as the Upper School Principal. Please take a tour of our
campus through our website and learn about this special place called Whitefield
Academy.
The Upper School at Whitefield Academy serves its students in grades nine through
twelve focusing on all areas of the student's life through the mission and philosophy.
Our goal at Whitefield is for all students to become life-long learners, confident
citizens, servants of a needy world, and witnesses of and for a living, sovereign
God.
The school places high importance not only on academics but on spiritual development
for every student. Spiritual development takes place through the classroom, chapels,
mission trips, service opportunities, retreats, and clubs. Through a rigorous academic
program, Biblical principles are integrated into classrooms. Advanced Placement,
Honors, and College-prep classes also contribute to the challenging program offered
in the Upper School. Whitefield Academy graduates are being accepted into top-tier
colleges and universities of their choice and many are receiving significant scholarships.
Besides offering a stimulating academic and strong spiritual development program,
Upper School opportunities are also available in athletics, performing arts, visual
arts, service projects, and leadership to develop every student's gifts and talents.
These opportunities take place in an environment in which student involvement and
input are encouraged.
The exceptional Christ-honoring faculty and staff at Whitefield Academy challenge
students to engage in their own education and develop a love of learning that will
continue long after they leave our halls. Whitefield teachers are competent, committed
believers in Jesus Christ who willingly give of themselves in a variety of ways,
not the least of which is in helping students understand their faith.
