On a professional note
Why Whitefield:While completing my M.A.T., I was able to observe third- and fourth-grade classes in the Lower School and was drawn in by the family atmosphere. I instantly felt like I had found my home. I was and still am impressed at the level of education Whitefield provides, and I am excited to see what God will do within the school and my classroom.
Why I love my job:I love teaching not just because it gives me the opportunity to impart knowledge to the students, but mostly because I have the opportunity to invest in their lives. It gives me the opportunity to impact their lives and to encourage them to be who God creates them to be. A lot of the time, they are the ones that have impacted my life for the better.
On a personal note
My family:I am a mother to two amazing sons, Cayden and Quin. I also have two dogs, Gretyl (mini-dachshund) and Patsy (rescued “Schnorkie”-Schnauzer Yorkie).
Hometown:I was born in Louisiana, but raised in Nashville, Tennessee.
