Why Whitefield:
Teaching in public schools never allowed me the opportunity to share my faith with my students. After retiring from Fayette County schools, I wanted an opportunity to share my passion for art along with my love for God. Whitefield will allow me the opportunity to do both and be able to develop better relationships with my students. I have heard so many wonderful things about the Whitefield community and feel as though God has truly led me here after many prayers.

Why I love my job:
I decided that I wanted to become an art teacher when I was 10 years old after falling in love with every project that my elementary art teacher had us create. It was truly my happy place and still is today! I also love that young children are so uninhibited and get so excited about their art! Even after many years of teaching, I am still amazed at the beautiful art my kids can produce and seeing their smiles when I display it is priceless!
