We understand that an independent school education is a financial investment in your child’s future and is one that requires careful financial planning. We believe that a Whitefield Academy education is an investment that will last a lifetime.

 

Tuition Costs for the 2019-2020 School Year

For your convenience, tuition covers lunch and snacks for PreK-4th grades.

 

Financial Aid:

Whitefield Academy is committed to accepting students for admission from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. All aid is based on need and is available to assist families in closing the gap between a family’s ability to pay and the cost of attending. Aid is available for students applying to grades Kindergarten-12th grade.

 

Need-based financial aid is awarded annually, and renewal is not automatic or guaranteed as funds may vary and a family’s finances may change. Families are required to submit applications annually. Factors such as household income and expenses, assets and debt, and the number of children in a school who require tuition are all considerations in determining financial aid awards.

 

Whitefield Academy partners with School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid requests.
To begin the financial aid application, please:
  1. Complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) through SSS found here. The application will be available October 2, 2018 and must be completed by February 1, 2019 (December 31, 2018 for returning families).
  2. Upload the following documents into your “My Documents” section of the PFS by February 1, 2019 (December 31, 2018 for returning families) to be considered for aid:
    • Copy of your 2017 and 2018 tax returns, including all schedules
    • Copy of each wage earner’s final pay stub showing year-to-date earnings for 2018
    • Copy of all 2017 and 2018 W-2’s
    • Form 4506 taxpayer request for tax return must be filled out, signed and provided to the school (intended for school filing). Do not include payment or file with the IRS.
If parents are divorced or separated, both parents must complete the PFS and provide the required tax information.

Once you have completed the PFS and submitted the required documents, SSS will submit a dollar amount to Whitefield Academy recommending an amount the parents are able to contribute to their child’s education.

The Whitefield Academy Financial Aid Committee will determine the amount given to each qualified applicant. Each applicant will be notified of their financial aid amount in the enrollment contract on March 30, 2019.
Financial aid applications are available beginning October 2, 2018.

Financial Aid amounts will be released with the enrollment contract on March 30, 2019. Families have until April 11, 2019 to accept the award with the returned, electronically signed enrollment contract and 10 percent non-refundable deposit.
A 10 percent non-refundable deposit is due with the enrollment agreement. Students will be considered enrolled once the contract and deposit are received.

There are three payment options available for the remaining balance. Payment can be made online by e-check, credit card (three percent convenience fee applies), cash, or check.

Payment options:
  1. Pay the balance in one full payment, due June 1, 2019.
  2. Pay the balance in two equal payments, due June 1, 2019 and September 1, 2019.
  3. Pay the balance in nine equal monthly payments beginning May 2019 through January 2020 by enrolling with FACTS (a third-party tuition management company). Payment will be automatically processed monthly from your bank account or by charging your credit card. There is a three percent convenience fee if using a credit card. An enrollment fee of $45 per family will apply.
A payment option must be selected at the time of enrollment.
To help you budget for the upcoming year, we want to be transparent with costs associated with attendance. Below are some of the fees you may incur.

Uniforms:
  • New Uniforms: purchased at our Campus Store
  • Used Uniforms: offered throughout the school year by the Whitefield Parent Association (WPA)
Textbooks
  • Textbooks for grades 6-12: $275-400 (estimate)
  • Grades K-5: included in tuition
Supplies
  • Varies by grade in K-12. School supplies are included in PreK.
Sports Fees
  • Varies depending upon sport
Laptop
  • Laptops are required in grades 7-12
Aftercare and Club Cub fees for PreK-4
  • Aftercare and Club Cub is available until 6 p.m. daily in grades PreK-4 for an additional fee
