Whitefield Academy is pleased to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2019. As these 70 seniors prepare for graduation, it is our pleasure to highlight some of their accomplishments and share their plans after Whitefield. Click below for exciting information about our graduates!

Class valedictorian Donovan Pearce will be attending Princeton University in the fall and majoring in Computer Science. A varsity member of the men’s golf team and longtime marching and jazz band member, Donovan has achieved all-around excellence and leadership in academics, athletics, and the arts at Whitefield. Class salutatorian Grayce Guthrie will be attending Wheaton College in the fall with the Blanchard Presidential Scholarship, majoring in Biology and minoring in Computer Science. A leading lady in the drama program, captain of the volleyball team, leader of senior mentorship program, member of the Ecuador Mission Trip team, and so much more, Grayce has fully engaged in the entire “WhitefieldExperience.”We are so proud of Donovan, Grayce, and all of our seniors’ accomplishments and know they will continue to do incredible things as they pursue life after Whitefield Academy.

The senior class submitted a total of 421 college applications this year and received 287 college acceptances from 111 different colleges in 35 different states and Canada. Students were accepted to colleges and universities ranging from Texas to California to Maine and all across the southeast. Appalachian State University, Auburn University, Clemson University, Elon University, Florida A&M University, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Samford University, Purdue University, the University of Georgia, the University of Tennessee, the University of Wisconsin, and Wake Forest University are just a sampling of the schools our students plan to attend. We are delighted to have so many seniors following in the footsteps of their parents, siblings, and Whitefield alumni!

The Class of 2019 was also awarded 148 scholarships totaling $9.36 million (not including Hope and Zell Miller Scholarships). There are three National Merit Finalists as well as one Questbridge Scholar (enrolling at Bowdoin College) and one Haslam Scholar (enrolling at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville).

We are also excited to have four senior athletes committing to play at the collegiate level next year. Emilie Grand’Pierre will continue her swimming career at Bowdoin College, while softball standout Amilya Little will play for Clark Atlanta University. Varsity football player Kyle Holt committed to play for Jacksonville State University. Zachary Justice will continue his passion for running as a member of the cross country team at Wheaton College.
