Students in Jessica Bonnem's Creative Writing class visited Delmar Gardens for a second time this school year to share their creative nonfiction stories inspired by the residents of the Smyrna retirement community.

In December, each student was matched with a resident from the community to interview. The students heard stories of lost love, accidental death, and even war-time fighter pilot maneuvering. After the interview, the students took their notes and wrote stories to share with the residents.
