Welcome back, WolfPack! The athletic department and I hope you had a wonderful long weekend filled with many moments to pause and recognize the gift of salvation and celebrate the resurrection of Christ!

Before the Pack entered the holiday weekend, we enjoyed an action-packed week of 24 athletic events! Highlights included our varsity girls soccer team clinching a state playoff berth with a big 3-1 victory over Fellowship Christian. That same night the varsity boys soccer team finished off their regular season with a victory and title of area champions! The boys will head into the state playoffs as the number one ranked team in class A. Not to be topped, the boys lacrosse team finished off Thursday night's winning ways with a heart pounding come-from-behind victory in overtime to capture the school’s first ever area lacrosse championship! All three teams will be competing in the state playoffs beginning with the girls soccer team today at Pinecrest (5 p.m.) and boys soccer hosting tomorrow at 6 p.m. Varsity lacrosse will host the first round next Wednesday, May 1.

Also, last week the varsity girls tennis team marched down to Macon for their first round state playoff match and battled all the way to the end in a match that took well over two hours. They ultimately fell 2-3 but played an unbelievable match with no regrets. This team has been a pleasure to watch this year as they have been led by senior ladies who have been major contributors in the program since they were freshmen here at Whitefield. They will certainly be missed next year.

It’s Metro 10 playoff week and many of our top Middle School teams will be competing in pursuit of a Metro 10 championship! Be sure to check out our full athletic calendar here and make plans to come out and cheer on the WolfPack as they compete in the playoffs.

Last but not least, mark your calendars to celebrate the members of the Class of 2019 who will go on to participate in athletics on the collegiate level! Join us this Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Athletic Center for our signing and awards assembly.

I look forward to seeing you all out cheering for the Pack this week!!

See you soon,
