One of the highlights from last week was lining the sidewalk from the Upper School to the carpool lane with faculty, staff, and students to cheer on the varsity cross country team as they headed off to the state meet Friday morning! Seven of our varsity boys competed in the state meet, which was held in Carrollton, GA. The WolfPack ran hard and competed well, finishing second with the state runner up title! A special congratulations goes to Devin Wade for running an incredible race and finishing second in the state individually. Congratulations to Coach Barnett and Coach Heiskell, along with the entire varsity cross country team on an incredible season! We have loved watching your hard work and dedication all season long and have enjoyed cheering you on along the way!

After a great race to start the day, Whitefield headed north to Rome to take on the 8th ranked Darlington Tigers football team. The WolfPack fought hard but lost another tough fight at the very end. The great news is, due to a solid regular season all year long, they were able to secure their spot in the state playoffs for a second year in a row! Stay posted for more information on playoffs to come soon. For more details including our swim and Middle School tennis teams, check out the recaps below.

In the week ahead, we’ll be cheering on our Middle School tennis, wrestling, swim, and boys basketball teams along with varsity swim and football! We’re excited to be jumping into the beginning of our winter athletic season! You can click here for our full athletic calendar for the week.

Go Pack!
