Crissy Watkins
Physical Education Teacher; Assistant Athletic Director for Middle School Sports
Crissy Watkins serves as Whitefield's assistant athletic director for Middle School sports. She also teaches fifth through ninth-grade girls' physical education . She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Kinesiology from Georgetown College where she played first string for the college’s softball team and was inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame. Watkins also has a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. She taught undergraduate health and fitness classes as a graduate assistant there. She has eight years of experience coaching youth sports, specializing in developing and leading programs to improve strength, agility and speed performance. A member of the Whitefield faculty since 2010, Watkins is the varsity softball coach and Middle School girls soccer coach.

Why I love teaching:
I love teaching because I have the opportunity to work with students as they begin to realize who they are and what they want to be. To be a source of encouragement as a teacher and coach can build students’ confidence that will hopefully remain with them for years to come.
