Why Whitefield:
My experience at Whitefield began my sophomore year of high school in 1997 (which also happened to be the very first year Whitefield Academy opened). I remember walking up to school on the first day with my new classmates knowing that God had something very special planned for this school. As a graduate of the class of 2000, the positive impact my teachers and coaches had on me created a burning desire for me to one day become an educator and pass along that same love of learning to my future students. Being able to be part of a school where Christ is the core of education is such a blessing for my family and me! Teaching at Whitefield and being able to show Christ's love and direction throughout each day is what we are called to do and I am excited to be able to inspire young minds for Christ!

Why I love teaching:
I love teaching for so many different reasons! Every day is a new adventure full of creativity and learning. Being able to see students take ownership of their learning while modeling Christ's love for others is what makes each day so unique and special. I hope that I can inspire my students as much as they inspire me!

About my family:
My husband and I are blessed with two beautiful children, Savannah ('24) and Nicklaus. We also have two boisterous Boston Terriers, Bruce and Annie. We love spending time with family and friends, playing games, going to the park, and anything else that helps us stay active! There is never a dull moment around our house!
