Meet the College Counseling Team

Elyse Lawson
Director of College Counseling
Elyse Lawson joined the WolfPack as director of college counseling in 2017. Prior to joining the Whitefield college counseling team, she worked in the Georgia Tech Office of Undergraduate Admission coordinating campus visit events, advising the GT tour guide program, and reviewing freshman admission applications. Before moving to Atlanta, Lawson worked for the Auburn University Division of Student Affairs, where she consulted on community service and fundraising programs and advised various student groups. Lawson holds a B.A. in public administration and a M.Ed. in higher education administration from Auburn University.
Jennifer Peterson
College Counselor
Jennifer Peterson works in Whitefield's College Counseling office, assisting with the academic coaching and college counseling programs. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan.
Jill Langella
College Counselor
Jill Langella joined the WolfPack staff in 2016 as a college counselor. Before arriving at Whitefield, she gained five years of experience in banking and worked as a life and career counselor for eight years. Langella holds a B.S. in financial management from Clemson University as well as an M.Ed. in counseling with a concentration in student development in higher education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
