Approximately 20 Whitefield grandparents enjoyed a firsthand look at the Innovation Lab on October 17, as Lab Director Matthew David and his “tech guru” partner and Whitefield parent, Jim Kelly, hosted an information session and tour of the new space.

Located in Mod 600, the Innovation Lab boasts four rooms of dedicated space for students of all ages to collaborate or work independently on projects and enjoy tinkering with ideas. The fully-equipped lab provides the tools and resources necessary to bring those ideas to life.

Most of our grandparents remembered wood shop and home economics classes from their high school days. They were impressed with our modern STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) lab designed to equip today’s students with 21st-century skills such as videography, 3D printing, CAD design, and engineering/robotics.
