Whitefield celebrated the Class of 2018’s graduation with a baccalaureate service on Friday, May 18, in the Lower School Student Activity Center and the 21st Commencement on Saturday, May 19, at The Church of the Apostles. The graduates marched in robes and cords representing their various achievements as parents, grandparents, faculty, family, and friends looked on.

During the baccalaureate service, Wallace Francis, Whitefield board chaplain and national director of Ambassadors for Christ, reminded the seniors to be strong and courageous as they go forth in their future endeavors, referencing Joshua 1:9.

Saturday's keynote commencement address was delivered by Dan Cathy, chairman and CEO of Chick-fil-A. He used the metaphor of the baton to express that the graduates should take hold of their future and not wait passively for it to happen

Valedictorian Katie Cella also addressed the congregation before the degrees were conferred to each of the 59 graduates.

Congratulations to the newest members of the Whitefield alumni family!
