On October 27, the excitement and WolfPack spirit were evident as Whitefield celebrated Homecoming 2017. Over 100 Whitefield graduates attended the alumni barbecue before the game, and in keeping with tradition, class representatives kicked off the festivities with our Homecoming court parade.

The game began when alumnus Everett Joiner (‘13) arrived via parachute to deliver the game ball right before kickoff. Joiner is a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and his jump into WolfPack stadium marked his 700th jump of his career!

Congratulations to Molly Langella, crowned this year’s Homecoming Queen! The members of the Homecoming court are chosen by their classmates in their grade level as the young ladies they feel best embody the Whitefield mission. This year’s court was as follows:

• Freshman: Lilly David
• Sophomores: Peyton Castle and Grayson Nour
• Juniors: Claire Browne, Alden Evans, Grayce Guthrie, and Emmy Pridgeon
• Seniors: Katie Cella, Lucy Eichelberger, Ruthie Evans, Molly Langella, and Julia Mixon

The Homecoming court was recognized pregame in a parade and then again at halftime, where Molly was crowned by last year’s Homecoming Queen, Christina Nicks. Fans were also treated to an awesome performance by our marching band, which shared an award-winning show titled “Echoes from the Dark Side: Villians in Action.”

The WolfPack varsity football team closed out the evening's festivities with a decisive 24-7 win over Walker. Read the highlights from the Marietta Daily Journal here.

Overall, it proved to be a great night filled with unforgettable moments!
