On Saturday, October 21, close to 100 people from the Whitefield community came out to support three families impacted by Type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) One Walk!
Carson Bassing, Brooks Bowling and Preston Evans each have T1D, a chronic autoimmune disease that caused their bodies to stop producing insulin, the hormone necessary to convert carbs into energy. Together, and with your help, the Bassings, Bowlings and Evans raised $86,894! This money will help JDRF find a cure, as well as fund research for new and improved treatments that improve the lives people living with T1D. In total, 10,000 people attended the walk and raised ~$1,000,000.  A huge thank you to the Whitefield community for your contributions and support!  It means the world to these families to have your support.

Thank you and God bless,
The Bassings, Bowlings, and Evans
