Drum Major Matthew Oluyide (11th) and band members Patrick Rich (12th) and Joshua Orr (12th) proudly display Whitefield's four competition trophies.
On Saturday, Oct. 21, the WolfPack Marching Band took their show "on the road,” traveling to Rockmart High School for the Yellow Jacket Marching Band Classic.

Fourteen high school bands competed in the showcase, including both public and private schools from all over the metro Atlanta region. Whitefield students performed their football halftime show, “Echoes from the Dark Side: Villains In Action,” which included two musical arrangements and a great deal of marching drill created by trumpet player Donovan Pearce (11th).

Receiving a top score of "superior" in Drum Major was Matthew Oluyide (11th) and with scores of "excellence" were the Whitefield Drum Line, Color Guard, and overall band. Whitefield is VERY proud of its stellar program!

"The students truly left everything on the field,” said Band and Fine Arts Director Stacy Quiros. This sentiment was echoed by the many band parents attending, who agreed this was the band’s absolute best performance to date.

Congratulations, WolfPack Marching Band!
