The 2016-17 athletic year has officially come to a close, and what a finish it was! The varsity track and varsity boys soccer teams completed their seasons last week, competing in state championships.

Congratulations to Carson Brown for earning third place and setting a personal best throwing discus, to Devin Wade for claiming sixth place in the 3200m, and to Emily Little for taking sixth in the 3200m! On the last day of the state track meet, the boys 4x100 meter relay team took second, Brian Pickens took third in the 100 meter dash, and the boys team finished fourth overall in the state, one of the top finishes ever for that program. Great job, Pack!

Perhaps the most exciting moment of our entire athletic year was Friday’s varsity boys soccer victory when the WolfPack claimed the GHSA boys soccer state championship! This season has been history-making for the WolfPack soccer program. After an awesome victory for the varsity boys on Tuesday in the final four of the GHSA state tournament, we prepared for Friday’s state championship game against Walker. The team was sent off on Friday morning by our Middle School students and was soon followed by three fan buses holding over 100 Upper School students. It was an intense game with big crowds from both schools, but the Pack was ultimately able to walk away with a 2-1 victory and the state championship trophy! Congratulations on an amazing season, varsity boys! We’ve loved cheering you on and watching all of your hard work pay off throughout this season.

Thank you, WolfPack athletes, fans, and parents for your incredible support throughout this school year. Your commitment to our teams has made an immeasurable difference. We’re looking forward to cheering on the Pack with you in the future!

Go Pack!
