Christian Life at Whitefield Academy

Educating Minds. Shaping Hearts for Christ.

Whitefield Academy was founded as a covenant school committed to partnering with Christian families, not only in education, but in preparing young people for life. Central to this mission is nurturing each student’s walk with God. Through weekly chapels, intentional student ministries, and Christ-centered Bible classes, we encourage students to grow spiritually and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. As we support and strengthen our families, we also champion their connection to the local church and the broader Christian community, believing that faith flourishes most when students and families are rooted in a vibrant, Christ-following fellowship.

Weekly Chapel Creates a Rhythm of Worship in Our Community

Lower School Chapel

Chapel in the Lower School introduces young hearts to the joy of worship. Through uplifting songs, engaging Bible stories, and guided prayer, students learn about God’s love and develop a strong foundation of faith and character; all in an environment that is age-appropriate, joyful, and rooted in truth.

Middle School Chapel

Students take an active role by leading worship, reading Scripture, and supporting behind the scenes fostering ownership of their faith and a lasting connection to God and others.

Upper School Chapel

As students mature, so does the chapel experience. Middle and Upper School chapels encourage deeper spiritual reflection through powerful messages from teachers, pastors, and guest speakers.

Spiritual Formation that Develops the Love and Knowledge of God

Christian life at Whitefield goes beyond programming; it is an intentional thread, woven through every aspect of campus. As a covenantal school, where every faculty and staff member has a relationship with Jesus Christ, teachers partner with families to deepen students understanding of the Gospel as they grow in their faith and academics. Through inter-departmental and cross-divisional work, teachers use research based, best practice academic methodology to develop a curriculum that is both academically robust and biblically focused.

Biblical Throughlines

At Whitefield Academy, we desire, with the help of the Holy Spirit, for each student (and faculty member, coach, administrator, etc.) to journey together on the path of virtue and holiness in pursuit of Christ our King.

Biblical through-lines support our broader mission of Christian formation at Whitefield Academy. We desire for each student to journey together on the path of virtue and holiness in pursuit of Christ our King by expanding their imaginations for Christ and His Kingdom and engaging them with the practices where they encounter His Spirit. These biblical through-lines are modeled after work done by the Teaching for Transformation (TFT) group that is part of The Center for Advancement of Christian Education (CACE), located at Dordt University, but modified to fit the declared mission of Whitefield Academy.
