2019-2020 Whitefield Fund

From Head of School Kevin Bracher, Ph.D.

Every year I am amazed at the support and generosity of our Whitefield community, and last year was no exception. Reaching 94% participation in the Whitefield Fund was an incredible achievement, and for that we are all grateful! So, how do we top last year? Our goal is always 100% participation, so I challenge you to help us meet that goal. Prayerfully consider what your family can give. Your support of the Whitefield Fund helps us provide enhancements for our school that we couldn’t provide otherwise, enabling us to further bolster Christian families in educating their children! I thank you, in advance, for your support of the Whitefield Fund. I pray as you decide how you participate you will feel peace in knowing that we will steward these gifts wisely and for His glory.

From 2019-20 Whitefield Fund Chairs Paige and Jay Overstreet (parents of Jack ’20 and Will ‘23):

We are thrilled to serve as Chairs for the Whitefield Fund this year! For the past few years, we have watched this program grow and greatly impact our children and Whitefield as a whole. We want to continue that growth and we hope you will join us and accept Dr. Bracher’s challenge to reach 100% participation this year! We feel blessed to serve in this capacity and look forward to working with you in the next six weeks to make this  another successful year for the Whitefield Fund!

Why the Whitefield Fund?

Your tax-deductible gift to the Whitefield Fund supplements the annual cost of running the school in order to sustain our mission as a high-achieving, Christ-centered, college preparatory school and not impose significant tuition increases. The Whitefield Fund provides critical, unrestricted money for things such as teacher development, technology, arts and athletics, Whitefield Parent Association (WPA), yearbooks, class pictures – just to name a few! At Whitefield, tuition covers 94% of the annual operating budget – the remainder comes in part from the generous support from faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, Alumni, Board members, and friends. This generous giving allows Whitefield to continue shaping the lives of our students inside and outside of the classroom as well as provide academic excellence and spiritual development within our community.

How much am I expected to give?

Every. Gift. Matters. Your contribution should be a prayerful decision from your family. We would like 100% participation from our parents as well as faculty/staff and Board of Trustees, so any and all gifts are welcomed and encouraged.
