Meet the Development Team

Whitefield Academy was built on a firm foundation with a strong mission. The development team supports that mission through fundraising efforts, networking with alumni, and the annual fund campaign. A gift to Whitefield serves to strengthen the school for future generations and is also an investment in the lives of students who have the potential to impact the world for Christ.

Marcia Gaddis
Alumni & Special Events Manager
Marcia Gaddis is a long-time member of the Whitefield community. She joined the Whitefield staff in 2015 as Alumni and Special Events Manager, but previously served in Whitefield's Advancement Office from 2000-2007. Gaddis holds a B.S. in Education from Western Kentucky University. Before working at Whitefield, she was a stay-at-home mom. Prior to having children, Gaddis taught Home Economics in Kentucky and worked as home economist for the University of Georgia.
Caroline Pattillo ('05)
Advancement Office Manager
Caroline Pattillo graduated from Whitefield in 2005 and returned in 2016 as advancement office manager. She graduated from the University of Georgia and gained management experience while working at West Side Running Store and as a neurodevelopmental teacher at Jacob’s Ladder, a school for students with special needs.
Sara Sharp
Manager of Annual Giving and Donor Relations
Sara Sharp serves as the Annual Fund Manager at Whitefield. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotions/Biology from Auburn University with a minor in marketing. Before coming to Whitefield, Sharp had several years of experience in the medical field, serving as a cardiac rehabilitation intern at Vanderbilt University, a transplant specialist with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and a business manager with Bristol Myers Squibb. She also served as an instructor with Laboratory Corporation of America, instructing physicians, clinical managers and administrators on the technical aspects of laboratory testing.
Lauren Race
Director of Development
Lauren Race joined the Whitefield team in 2018 as director of development. Race brings over ten years of fundraising experience to the position which were focused on developing and stewarding relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. She has managed annual campaign efforts and executed major comprehensive campaigns for organizations including the Kansas State University Foundation, United Way of Greater Atlanta, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. She holds a B.A. from Kansas State University.
