Meet the Development Team

Whitefield Academy was built on a firm foundation with a strong mission. The development team supports that mission through fundraising efforts, networking with alumni, and the annual fund campaign. A gift to Whitefield serves to strengthen the school for future generations and is also an investment in the lives of students who have the potential to impact the world for Christ.

Lauren Race
Director of Development
Lauren Race joined the Whitefield team in 2018 as director of development. Race brings over ten years of fundraising experience to the position which were focused on developing and stewarding relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. She has managed annual campaign efforts and executed major comprehensive campaigns for organizations including the Kansas State University Foundation, United Way of Greater Atlanta, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. She holds a B.A. from Kansas State University.
Lindsey McClellan
Alumni and Special Events Manager
Lindsey McClellan is joining the Whitefield development team as alumni and special events manager. Before joining the WolfPack, Lindsey gained six years of experience working for Buckhead Church, where she served as manager for the Middle School ministry and Women’s Groups departments. She obtained a B.A. in communications from Azusa Pacific University along with a M.A. in school counseling from Liberty University.
Paige Perdue
Associate Director of Development
Paige Perdue serves as associate director of development at Whitefield. Prior to joining the WolfPack, Paige worked for more than 25 years as a fundraiser and fundraising consultant for political campaigns, candidates, and organizations in Georgia and across the country. She brings experience creating and managing comprehensive finance plans that include special events, personal candidate requests, direct mail and online solicitations, budget management and other efforts for a successful fundraising program. Paige has earned a B.A. in speech communications with a minor in journalism from Auburn University.
Tamieka Baker
Advancement Coordinator
Tamieka Baker serves as advancement coordinator at Whitefield. Before joining the WolfPack, Tamieka gained ten years of experience in non-profit community development in inner city Atlanta. Most recently, she served as a program director for Enterprise Community Partners. Tamieka has obtained a B.A. in government/political science from Wofford College as well as a Master of Public Administration in Planning and Economic Development from Georgia State University.
Janet Abercrombie
Donor Relations and Research Manager
Janet Abercrombie is becoming a part of the Whitefield development team, taking on the role of donor relations and research manager. Janet joined the WolfPack with 14 years of experience working for nonprofit organizations, including the Shepherd Center Foundation and the Alliance Theater. She also spent time in Chicago, working for The Chicago Council on Global Affairs for seven years. Abercrombie earned her B.A. from the University of South Carolina.
